I had a good night, working on my Lancaster quilt.....still a few more diamonds to go on the first border...the pattern isn't very user friendly....
Thought the border was finished alas the pattern says 8 diamonds, but 10 are needed grr....glad that Im starting to work on some of my UFOs thou...
It's coming along so well Deb, & the colours are really lovely, what a work of art it will be when it's all finished x
ReplyDeleteWonderful work. Can`t wait to watch your quilt come together.
ReplyDeleteGrit from Germany
Love the colours you are working with
ReplyDeleteLooks great...don't you hate patterns that aren't quite right?
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful,I'm sure in the end it will be worth all the frustration and hair pulling :) Barb.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking lovely Deb, well worth the effort. I have found the same problem with those patterns before.
ReplyDeleteSo annoying when you end up doing the work when following a pattern. It is looking fabulous though, the extras will be done in no time :)
ReplyDeleteLove the red and cream and it is looking wonderful. Nothing worse than when you think you are almost done...but NO! It is going to be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLove that colour scheme! Can't wait to see the finished quilt!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are beautiful Deb. Yes, it is VERY annoying when those EPP projects just wont' go to plan.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I should have sent you the link for when I did that border, sorry :( also be carefully when cutting the border fabrics, especially from a border fabric as the requirements listed wasnt enough for mine and border 7 is to be cut at 3.5" (not written on my pattern). I had to play and cut mine thinner to make the clam shells fit. Definitely not a user friendly pattern :(
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely Deb, that's a gorgeous colourway, what a shame about the pattern error.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a gorgeous quilt!! Such gorgeous fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteAlways great to see everyines projects, love the red and white
ReplyDeleteI have not started this BOM quilt, though yours is very inspiring - but I feel increasingly nervous about doing it, given all the difficulties you've had with a pattern that is not user friendly! GRRR indeed. Will make sure I keep referring to your blog when I do start it! Thank you for sharing how you overcome the difficulties.
ReplyDeleteI just love your colours. Very rich looking
ReplyDeleteOh WOW! Looks amazing so far :)
