Tis the last day of the month, and I'm not too far away from the finish line. I was a few months behind and have really made the effort to catch up.

Quilt workshop

Yesterday the Turon Art Group held their first quilt workshop. The workshop was free and the materials were only $10! I put together a tutorial for a fabric basket which was well received as we had various skill levels in the group.

Everyone was happy to work at their own pace, chatting, sewing, chatting, sewing lol

The local Gourmet Burgers at the Sofala Goal delivery our yummy lunches on individual bread boards...I only took a few pics and forgot about the food pics lol

The local community hall was a great venue, it had heaters and great lighting...it was a bit chilly yesterday in the village.

This is the only pic I took, of a few completed baskets, as I was busy trying to catch up and complete my own basket. The ladies were happy to have a completed project to take home.

Rain ...rain...rain

Nothing better on a rainy day....

Friday Night Sew In results

It's that time if the month again, tis lovely to know I was stitching with all my virtual blogging buddies...I finished a fabric basket for a workshop I'm doing for the Turon Art Group later this month.

Just something easy for beginners to introduce them to the wonderful world of patchwork and quilting. Love the linen and softer colours.
We have family here this weekend, lots of motorbikes and 4wd driving...Ohh joys lol.....just means lots of sitting, watching and stitching for me...no complaints here....

Thank you to Wendy for hosting us all again this month! Take a look at Wendy's links and see what lovely stitching everyone did last night!
Hope your weekend is full of stitching!!!!

Soo excited!!!

I was lucky enough to receive Michelle Ridgeway's first book, A Holly Cottage Christmas the other day!!! Michelle kept a big secret from us all!!!

It's filled with lovely Christmas projects to make for love ones or swap partners. Michelle's inspiration for her first book was the celebration of the "heart" her family put into every Christmas they spend together; all in a Michelle's signature style.

I've already made a list of items to make for my Chrissy swaps. A cute candle mat using wool felt, and a few Christmas gift tags,  and the Chrissy decorations, and the table topper, maybe all of the nine projects from the book.... Maybe Chookys stitchalong might make the Holly Christmas quilt for 2016.

I'll give you a sneak peek at these cute Christmas decorations....

If you would like a copy of your own, head to Michelle's Blog. It's always great to see a fellow Aussie designer and friend, reach a creative goal! Congratulations Michelle on your wonderful book, I'm soo excited for you!!!

Just a few more days....

Hubby and I are child free this weekend and at the Opal Mine, Glengarry. Hubby has maintenance to do and I need to sew. I have three months of my Natures Journey stitchalong to catch up on and plan to cut and sew sew sew. This is my view, I'm organised and ready to go!!!

Hubbys best mate had surgery two weeks ago and is finally home and he needed to check on him in the flesh...living 7 hours away has been hard. We arrived at 5pm yesterday, unpacked the groceries and headed to their camp. Tony's wife had a big pot of ham and pea soup bubbling away on the potbelly stove...yummmmm..we stayed for a few hours and had a nice night. Hubby slept well, first time in weeks...
Ohhh nearly forgot ...we made a stop on our road trip and caught up with the gorgeous Miss Chookyblue...no photos sigh, as we didn't stop yacking lol.... But I do have a pic of her Hera thingy she lent me so I could do my bias binding lol

Hopefully I will have some completed Stítching by the end of this weekend!
Happy Stítching my bloggy friends!!!
