FNSI update

I sewed all day Friday woohoo, I needed to catch up on The Splendid Sampler, after Nundle. Im all caught up, except for the embroidery on Block 10. I used some of my French General stash to do block 12. I like it better than the checkerboard one. I will make a checkerboard block but will use my version in the centre of my quilt.

While watching the Harry Potter pop up channel on Foxtel, I started to sew my Old Time Kaleidoscope BOM from Shiralee Stitches. A few of the bloggers signed up for this BOM whilst in Nundle...cant wait for block 2 to arrive!! I also started some of my star blocks for Sarah Fielke's BOM, Im hand piecing these thou...

I think I had a productive day and night!!!

Don't forget to take advantage of my free Elfin Around pattern. Link to Download here

BOM Updates

I have been working on keeping up with my two BOMs The Splendid Sampler and Sarah Fielkes 2016. Reading everyone's blogs I noticed I missed printing block 6 of my sampler. I downloaded it but didn't print it off... need to cut out 6 and 8 today!
I have loved everyone's take on block 7 by Amy from Nanacompany... I think I will make a scrap needleturn quilt for my block.

I finished my second block for Sarahs BOM but am a bit naughty I still haven't sewn the four pieces together to make the block, Ive done that with  the splendid sampler too, hmmm gotta work on that lol...
I have all my stars from Jan cut out just not sewn together, today I might play with the borders blocks for Feb but hmmm there is a swap item that needs to be finished by Monday...

Im using my French General stash for Sarahs quilt.....sigh..is the third quilt Ive made from this stash....I just need French General to re release Rural Jardin ...fingers crossed!

FNWF

I'm a bit late for my FNWF post...we had lots going on with grandkids and wedding prep. I was working on some secret stitching for Nundle on Friday night....I needed some retail therapy after a big week sigh....
I bought some more reproduction fabric for The Splendid Sampler and Susan Smiths new BOM The Rowdy Library...

All the BOMs I'm doing this year are scrappy for this will help ...won't it??? Lol

I'd love to show you a pic of the gorgeous breakfast my daughter held for her bridesmaids, but I'm not allowed...sigh ...the pic would reveal her "theme" for her Bridal Shower in May...let me just say we had a lovely breakfast (that's was my job) in a gorgeous setting.....
this week I need to see, sew, sew...gotta get ready for Nundle and finish my Natures Journey quilt!
